HOW IS WATER VAPOR THERAPY PERFORMED?

Water vapor therapy is normally performed as an outpatient procedure under light sedation.

The sterilized water at temperature of 1030C is injected to the enlarge prostate tissue via the small needle under cystoscopy.

The excessive tissues which are pressing on the urethra will be removed thanks to the heat from each 9-second-needle-treatment. As a result, the urethra opens and urine can flow freely.

The number of needle treatments depends on how big your prostate is and the whole treatment may take only 10-15 minutes.

Patients could go home in the same day and most patients return to regular activities within a few days
