….A person who has recently sustained a head injury should be kept under observation with regular checks every two hours for the first 24 hours.

The person should be questioned about their name, where they are, what has happened recently and should be able to answer. They should show you that they can move all limbs normally. If the person sleeps, you should awaken him or her to do these tests.

If the person develops any of the following symptoms, they should be taken to a hospital sithout delay.

  • Drowsiness, excessive sleepiness, inability to be aroused

  • Fever
  • Weakness of any limbs
  • Blurred vision or double vision
