BNH Hospital, through the BNH Asthma and Allergy Centre (BAAC), organised a specialist-led training session on “Caring for Children with Food Allergies in Schools” at the Tubtong School on 14 May 2026.
The session was led by Emeritus Prof. Dr. Pakit Vichyanond, a specialist in Allergy and Immunology, together with the BAAC nursing team. The programme covered childhood allergies and food allergy, from early symptom recognition and severity assessment to warning signs of anaphylaxis, adrenaline administration, EpiPen use, and initial care before hospital transfer.
A hands-on simulation was also conducted to help teachers and school staff practise emergency response with greater confidence and accuracy.
